Research Interests
My research interests lie in the general domain of recommendation systems, and especially examining the nature and effects of social recommendation systems, through various theoretical lenses and levels of analysis. I examine this primarily by employing social network analyses techniques on large social network data sets, though I have also conducted an experiment in this realm. I am also interested in research in Green IS and energy informatics. Within these two major streams of research, I have two journal publications, three conference proceedings, one article under review, two working papers, and two work-in-progress papers – for which data collection is complete or well underway. My agenda for the next three years is to convert my dissertation and other working papers into manuscripts for major IS journals (such as the MIS Quarterly, ISR, JMIS, JAIS, etc.)
